POWERSIDE microPMU (Distribution PMU)
POWERSIDE microPMU is a high precision distribution level phasor measurement unit (D-PMU), with a total vector error (TVE) of just 0.01% with milli-degree phase angle accuracy, making it 100 times more accurate than the IEC/IEEE 60255-118-1-2018 and C37.118 synchrophasor standards. It reports at up to 100 FPS at 50Hz or 120 FPS for 60Hz. Due to the shorter line lengths and complex grid characteristics, regular PMUs are not suitable for distribution network deployment and high-accuracy applications. microPMU is suitable for micro-grids, distribution, transmission, private grids with typical applications include grid stability, AEMO very fast FCAS, wide area measurement systems (WAMS), fault location, grid islanding, inter-area oscillation detection, BESS control, event propagation, state estimation, bushfire prevention, and more.
