The recent ELSPEC User Group Meeting 2023 conference in Porto, Portugal, was a landmark event for the power quality industry, fostering valuable connections and sparking enriching discussions among experts. Supreme Technology & Energy Solutions Pty Ltd, which has been a distributor for ELSPEC power quality products and solutions in Australia for over 15 years, was present at the event, adding valuable insights.
Many case studies were presented at the ELSPEC UGM 23 conference, highlighting how ELSPEC power quality analyzers (PQAs), digital fault recorders (DFRs), and phasor measurement units (PMUs) have been used to tackle industrial and critical power quality problems across the globe.
Key topics included supraharmonics emission, new standards, and an evolving renewable energy landscape driven by power electronics and inverter-based resources, along with the power quality issues surrounding it. There were also case studies on overcoming flicker, a large number of VFDs, and medium voltage solutions.
ELSPEC's technology was showcased with previous case studies, including a major project using ELSPEC EQUALIZER and G4430 Power Quality Meters for Melbourne Water, commissioned by Supreme Technology & Energy Solutions Pty Ltd. This case study was pivotal in highlighting ELSPEC's technology before and after installation. Discussions on future PQSCADA software updates and the next generation of G4K family units such as the G4410, G4420, G4430, and G4500 were also showcased.
